I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2001. I chose this profession because I wanted to work in a field with “heart”. By that I mean caring for and helping people achieve better health and having a meaningful connection while doing it. That is by far the best part of my job. I have met so many wonderful people and have had the privilege of caring for them, meeting their families or friends and knowing the personal details of their lives. It’s that connection that I love. There is never the same day in dentistry. I have learned to be patient, flexible and to expect the unexpected. My day can change from moment to moment. It can be challenging at times but I keep focused on the needs of my patients, above all. I learn something new every day and I attend trade seminars and classes regularly to stay abreast of the latest changes, techniques and procedures.
I am a huge animal lover. I have 3 Saint Bernards and 3 mini Dachshunds. They are my show dogs and my pets and the loves of my life. I adore being in the show ring with them and have so much fun. I have met many fantastic breeders and fellow dog enthusiasts from all over the country. I enjoy ballet and playing the piano, tennis, art of most any kind and knitting and crocheting. I love to travel and so far my favorite place is New Orleans.
